France is the most important wine region among the world. Many of its grape, winemaking options are the source of other wine producing countries around the world. Its climate varies from warm to moderate and moderate to cool. Bordeaux, with its moderate maritime climate, is known for its complex and age worthy Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for which are often blended with local grapes. Burgundy is another important appellation in which its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the most sought-after by wine lovers. While Sauvignon Blanc in the Loire Valley, Riesling in Alsace as well as Syrah in the Northern Rhône and Grenache in the Southern Rhône are all ranked in the top in the wine world.
