Our 2019 Morning Fog Chardonnay bursts with aromatics from citrus, lemon curd, pear and toasty oak. This wine is balanced by hints of vanilla and citrus on the palate, finishing with a nice acidity.

Wente Vineyards is oldest, continuously operated family-owned winery in the United States.  It was founded in 1883 and now in its fifth generation.

Wente Vineyards have been producing Chardonnay since 1912.  The second generation winegrower Ernest Wente imported Chardonnay cuttings from the University of Montpellier viticultural nursery in France.  Today, over 80% of all California Chardonnay stems from the Wente Clone.  We can say that the Wente family is the 'California's first family of Chardonnay'.
