"Dark Fruit, Earthy, Exceptional Vintage”
The 2015 vintage of this Brunello is probably the best we’ve tried from Col d’Orcia. Intense aroma of dark fruits than the traditional cherry notes, leather, forest floor and tobacco. It is a more powerful yet elegant vintage. On palate, the wine shows some real depth of flavours (also provides a touch of coffee and vanilla oak on top of the nose), silky tannin and capped off with a fantastic length. A good vintage should not be missed.

“Warm and structured, this has aromas evoking scorched earth, underbrush and mature black-skinned berry. On the firm palate, assertive, close-grained tannins accompany dried black cherry, licorice, sage and tobacco while the warmth of alcohol caps off the finish. Drink 2023–2030.” - KERIN O’KEEFE
The Col D’Orcia estate is one of the oldest companies of Montalcino, being present in 1933 with the name “Fattoria di Sant’Angelo in Colle” at the First Exhibition of Italian wines held in Siena, with three vintages of Brunello.
Col d’Orcia literally means the hill overlooking the Orcia River. They produce exceptional wine that really makes use of the favourable climate and soil that this excellent location on the west border of Montalcino provides.
