Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Sweetness: Dry
Acidity: Medium+
Body: Medium-
Alcohol: 13%
Bottle size: 750ml
Wine making: After racking at low temperature, the wine ferments for 10 days in stainless steel tanks at temperatures ranging from 15° to 20°C. Neither yeasting nor malolactic fermentation is employed. The wine is matured on its fine lees for 5 months and is then vacuum-bottled (exclusively in darkly tinted bottles). Only high quality natural corks are used. The wine undergoes additional maturation for at least one month in the bottle before being offered for sale.
From the wine maker:
"This helps the grapes to ripen more quickly and results in the production of a rich, well-balanced white Sancerre with a fine flinty tang."

“This ripe wine is packed with fruit and elegantly textured. There is richness allied to considerable freshness in a wine that is dense while also poised and bright. Drink from 2021. Organic.” - Roger Voss
Domaine Laporte sits on the edge of a valley known as La Cassure de Sancerre. This unique geological formation is divided into two distinct soil types: limestone hills on one side of the valley, flint hills on the opposite side. Grapes grown on each of these different soils are vinified according to the kind of soil. This careful respect for soil typicity gives each wine an individual expression and personality.
